The purpose of the Webinar is to share information with the workforce
system on the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), as well as
industry expertise on the technical and training aspects of
weatherization including the process, types of tools, job types, and a
training overview. The Webinar will features speakers from the National
Association of State Community Services Programs (NASCSP) and the
Department of Energy (DOE) who will discuss the history and mission of
the WAP program, the distribution of Recovery Act funds, how to connect
with the WAP network, and how standards are currently being developed.
The goal is to leverage DOL and DOE's current Recovery Act resources
around weatherization and ensure that our regional, state, and local
networks are connected and actively building community partnerships.
